Lacey's Hope Project

SEX TRAFFICKING AWARENESS

Lacey’s Hope Project

Wisconsin ranks third in the nation for sex trafficking- a horrific fact that most of its residents are unaware of. While working alongside a team of volunteers with Serve Marketing, we developed branding and a campaign for Lacey’s Hope Project, a survivor-founded organization dedicated to educating society about the realities of sex trafficking. Our goal was to make people uncomfortable enough to pay attention and do something about it.

It’s important to note, that while this organization focuses on its founder’s story, “Some of the most vulnerable populations for trafficking in the United States include American Indian/Alaska Native communities, lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender-questioning individuals, individuals with disabilities, undocumented migrants, runaway and homeless youth, temporary guest-workers and low-income individuals.” - justice.gov

Documentary

We interviewed those closest to Emmy to learn more about her childhood and how sex trafficking changed her family forever.

“There’s something unnamed and sinister about the moment a man runs his knuckle down the face of the young woman—too old for double-Dutch, too young to be an adult. But it’s hard to fully comprehend this feeling, because people don’t associate the suburbs, where kids play in the street, as hotbeds of sex traffic.”
