A reality dating show to get over your ex…wireless carrier
Metro by T-Mobile
Nada Yada Island
Metro By T-Mobile’s media-obsessed, multicultural customers love reality television like Love is Blind, Love Island, and Casa De Amor. But they hate the commercial breaks that stand between them and their favorite cast members. So we turned every commercial break into an episode of our own reality TV show.
RECOGNITION
Dating show parodies have been done before.
But we didn’t want to parody, we wanted to make our show indistinguishable from the “real” shows. So we enlisted real reality stars from popular shows like Love is Blind, Love Island, and Casa de los Famosos. We hired legendary TV directors Jason Wolnier, Nathan Fielder, and Ana Fabrega.
They brought along an incredibly talented production crew, many of whom worked on the very reality shows we were referencing.
Sprinkle in some manufactured (and real) drama, and things blew up.
We created 5 episodes to be released on social and during commercial breaks of real reality shows. A reality show within a reality show. So basically Inception, but gaudier and with more bikinis.
